さて、そのチタンの英語読みはタイタン、そうですフォーミュラ800Ｃの前身フォーミュラタイタンはチタンを英語読みしたものです。 そのチタンとの関わりが非常に深いアクレではチタン製シムの実用化に向けて2019年の1月から10月までテストを繰り返し実施しました。
シンプルなシムとは大きな違いが通常のシムは鳴き止めが目的ですが、チタンシムは鳴き止め効果はもちろんディスクローターの熱をチタンプレートがシャットアウトし、ブレーキキャリパーへの熱伝導を防ぎます。
また、前途記述したように軽さは武器となりバネ下荷重への負担もなく、硬さはペダルタッチをカチっとした剛性感を生み出し、更に変化を抑制します。 ※純正のシムプレートとは形状が異なります。製品の性質上弊社のオリジナル品の為形状は同じではない事をご理解ください。 チタンシムの材質について チタンプレート340(TP340)は引張強さの最低許容差が340MPa以上という意味の純チタンです。 強度、耐食性、加工性のバランスがよく、強度は純チタン1種より優れており汎用性の高く、大気中はもちろんのこと、海水などの塩化イオンを含む環境での使用でも錆びません。 航空宇宙分野、医療用、化学プラント等様々な分野で使用されている材質です。。 実は資源として地球上にかなり多く存在する材質ですが、製造が難しいため高額な事は有名ですね。 チタンシムの材質の性格や厚さ(0.8mm)の問題で表面研磨をしていないため表面が少し汚れている場合がございます。カラーグラデーションの入り方も１枚１枚手作業の為、色の付き方が違います。
